Kick it like Berg (May - July 2011)

Natalie was on her first soccer team this year. At this age, are any 5-year-olds great at the sport? It was fun...but could also get frustrating. I found out I'm one of those parents that will yell to their child the entire game. "Natalie, look at the ball! Natalie, go get the ball! Kick it! Go get it! Keep kicking it!" Yep, I'm one of those parents.
She had fun and was able to use some energy on the field. Her favorite position was goalie and she didn't mind when the ball went past her. Kind of defeats the purpose, oh well...soccer may not be her sport. She looked like a dancer while playing!

Memorial Day Weekend (May 2011)

We headed to one of our favorite places to camp (thanks to Cayla and Mj), East Arbutus County Park. This was our second time camping at the park. There's just something about camping right on the lake that is so relaxing.
We were able to meet up with Jesse's dad at the Hatfield flee market and then he was able to join us back at our camper for lunch and a snooze. We were also able to see Cayla, Mj, Devan and the Winter's for a little bit while we were looking for deals at the flee market.
The Winter's were also kind enough to invite us over for dessert on Sunday night. It was delicious. And it's always nice to see them!

Two wheelin' & lovin' it

Natalie learned to ride on two wheels this spring and we told her, once you learn to ride on two wheels we will buy you a new bike. Well, she learned and we kept our word and bought her a purple Trek bike (with flowers and butterflies) but still looks tough since it has black tires instead of white. We are very proud of her. And she loves that she doesn't need training wheels anymore.
Why do they make all girl bikes with white tires?

Rainy Sunday (May 2011)

This is what happens on a rainy Sundays at the Berg house.

Natalie makes fort.
Dad trys to fit in fort.
Maddux destroys fort.
Repeat.

Dancing Queen (May 2011)

Needless to say I'm a bit behind in updating our blog. I will blame it on the fact that I was unable to upload photos for a long, long time.

Well, I'm back! Or we're back! Keep your fingers crossed that I can keep up with our busy lives.

Natalie started a new dance program last year. She decided to try Hippity Hop at Barb's Centre for Dance in Green Bay. I've posted a few photos of her big night. The annual Barb's Centre for Dance Celebration of Dance held at the Meyer Theater in downtown Green Bay. It's a big deal for any dancer at Barb's. Natalie did a great job and had a great support system at the recital.
Thank you to Grandma & Grandpa 'Duke', Grandma Brenda, Aunt Ellen and Evan & Easton...and of course her supportive mom and dad. We were so proud of her that day!! Our little dancing queen.

Natalie is in the same class again this year...can't wait for the recital! Barb's really knows how to put on a great show.
